Who was the play by play guy today?

Does anyone know who the guy with Bobby was today? He is really good! I have to say he is much better than Dolph, I like Gary but this guy was the real deal. Hope we hear him again.

Brett Balbinot is the guy. He calls women's games but had to cover for Dolph since Dolph is traveling back. I think Dolph is not very good at all. I wish Brett Balbinot just took over right now.
 
Thanks IC! Guess I should pay more attention to the women's team....my bad. I would like to see him take over too.
 
one thing i did not like was that he rarely stated the score - listening in the 1st half. so bad that i had to check espn.com during the broadcast a couple times.

he does the women's game and he and his partner seem to do a nice job there.
 
At least the BTN network didn't have Doyle doing the game today thank God ! They said he was going to be on during halftime so I changed channels for a while so I wouldn't have to hear him.
 
Balbinot is good. Was long-time sports guy for 800 AM (IC) & then joined rob norton's ESPN affiliate in CR (1600 AM). Earlier this month they added live simulcast on 106.3 FM for the IC market. Clear Channel still has the learfield rights in IC/CR, but they have ZERO personnel with an inside track for the hawkeyes. Balbinot & Brommelkamp (sp?) have afternoon show that is both insightful & listener-driven. Really enjoy them. They are the "new" go-to station for anything hawkeyes, loud & clear on the FM.

If I have any complaint about the show its that its too Hawkeye focused and I would like to see them talk about other national stuff.
