For me it was RDM hands down. No points, sat for much of the second half, and a costly turnover with little time left.

Honestly, I see it as a team loss. Poor defensive let downs in crucial points, stupid turn overs, and poor decision making (ie White trying to pull an offensive board down one handed with under a minute). IMO rather than trying to point the finger at who to blame for the loss lets look at it from the perspective of who did what it took to lock up the win. Win as a team lose as a team. We can look for a GOAT all we want, but I didn't see anyone take the initiative in the final minute to close the game out either.

Good post, Ghost. I completely agree, this team shoots so poorly it isn't even funny. They shouldn't have even been in this game as bad as they were shooting at times.

No goat today, just a tough loss in a game Iowa wasn't supposed to compete, not sure why all the fuss.

Or Woodbury, there is only a multiple page thread making fun of his shot blocking ability (or lack thereof).
I have been saying all a long that the poor shooting and play of Marble is what has been killing this team. He has not been that go to person we all thought he could be. Veteran guard play is what wins games in the Big Ten and Iowa does not have it. Clemmons and Gesell will get there but when Iowa needed a veteran guard to help nail down the win Marble threw it away.
What does this even mean? How can you watch a game and tell who is a leader? He seems to be a mature individual in answering some direct questions yesterday. I guess I don't know if that makes him a leader but he at least is smart enough to answer questions in a way that does not lead to any controversy.
I guess I don't know who is the "leader" on Iowa. Generally your best players are going to be your "leaders" as they are the ones who get put in the situations to come through most often.
Marble is a good player but not a great player. It is too bad he is catching flack for not taking a step from last year scoring wise but I don't know if it was wise to expect more. He also seems to have a foot injury which does not help things obviously.
I don't care that he talked about the NBA which I think he does not really have a shot at. I don't mind Fran talking about it either. You don't want a coach to say anything negative about a players NBA goals to the media. He can have a frank discussion behind closed doors with Devyn but no nee to do it through the media. Fran is a positive guy in the press when discussing players. Don't believe everything he says as 100% true and you will not be let down.
