How have you dolts not figured out that Pat Angerer is the correct answer?

Pat is a good choice. Tyler Sash would have been my pick to click but unfortunately that would be posthumous now.

He was the very essence of Kirkball 2008-2010.

The team of my youth was the 1970's Dolphins. Tyler was Iowa's version of Jake Scott. The roaming centerfielder who never allowed the big play over the top, was physical in run support, and feasted on errant QB thows.

Pat would have been Nick Buoniconti, the nasty middle linebacker who chased plays sideline to sideline and punished receivers coming across the middle.

You could make an argument for Clark. Did a little research. It looks like his Dad, Doug moved to Sioux Falls for a short time after meeting Jan (who lived in Sioux Falls at the time) and they moved back to Iowa shortly after Dallas was born in 1979. He's really Iowan through and through.

He's certainly close to the program and embraces IOWA having returned after his playing days. I read where his farm has been in the family for over 100 years, so there are definitely deep roots.

Actually, Dallas Clark IS from Iowa (he was born in Sioux Falls, SD). He went to school at Twin River Valley (Bode, IA). He lives now in Livermore, IA, which is in the same school district.

But I do agree that Ashton Kutcher would be good. Also, Brandon Routh, Robin Lord Taylor or Jason Momoa would be good as well.
