who said N Ill was a cup cake

it really doesn't matterl the point is Iowa played the same way in all three games. shot 32 and 27 FT's against very bad teams, N Ill. another very bad team who's opponents shot 25 and 27 ft's, and the suddenly we have BT officials and the attempts are cut down to 13, to me that is something to worry about; if the officials of the BT do that all season long, but you with your superior knowledge of BB can think what you will
i just find it hard to believe a team is fouling teams at a rate that allows there opponents to shoot an avg of 26 FT, to suddenly make a 50% improvement in FT attemps by the opponents just a little strange

There's your first fundamental mistake. Those weren't Big Ten referees.
Two of them (Spencer and Dorian) are Summit and MAC officials, while Steratore is mainly a Big East ref.

And if you look at the reasons I provided, you have your answer why there weren't a lot of fouls called. It wasn't because NIU wasn't a cupcake. They are. NIU is not a great team. Maybe in a few years under Montgomery, but not right now.

If the style of play dictates fouls, then Iowa will get to the line, if not (like vs NIU) they won't. Nothing more.
