Iowa shot just 13 FT's for the game, they must be awful awful good to avoiding fouls like they did considering how young they are

What does that even mean? They were absolutely awful. Iowa didn't drive or go inside much which is why there weren't a lot of fouls called.

Did you not see how many points in the paint Iowa had? They went to the hole a lot.
 
40 pts inside the arc thats 20 made shots and for a young team thats pretty good to allow just 13 shots from the FT line especially after Iowa shooting 32 the 1st game and 27 the 2nd, that is Dukeish like defense

i don't think a team is going to do that big a turnaround in theit 3rd game;
but i did hear Dolph and Bobby talking about BT refs in the game
that sounds like the refs are still down on Iowa

What does this have to do with how good a team is? How does reflect good on NIU? Just because they didn't foul doesn't mean anything. They are not a very good club.

Iowa didn't get to the line because:
a) they have a lot of transition buckets
b) they shot the lights out from behind the arc
c) the refs did not play it as tight

Nothing to do with NIU being a cupcake or not. And, yes, they were a cupcake.
 
I don't know, I thought they played more like a small Danish muffin than a cupcake.

If you watch guys make layups instead of fouling them it means you're good. Did you just start watching basketball this year?
 
it really doesn't matterl the point is Iowa played the same way in all three games. shot 32 and 27 FT's against very bad teams, N Ill. another very bad team who's opponents shot 25 and 27 ft's, and the suddenly we have BT officials and the attempts are cut down to 13, to me that is something to worry about; if the officials of the BT do that all season long, but you with your superior knowledge of BB can think what you will
i just find it hard to believe a team is fouling teams at a rate that allows there opponents to shoot an avg of 26 FT, to suddenly make a 50% improvement in FT attemps by the opponents just a little strange
 
If free throws were cupcakes, our boyz would be starving.
