Who is Mike Myer?

And before Mr. Clown comes on here and references Wayne's World or Halloween, I'm asking an honest question here.

Heard KF reference him as being a great walk-on so I looked him up on the roster and he isn't there. What's his position, what year is he, etc., etc.?

Walk on place kicker (perferred walk on) from Dubuque Wahlert. Saw him kick a couple of times last year. He has a very strong leg. Got to see him attempt a couple of very long field goals.

I didn't know who is was either (shame on me). #96 was booming some kicks on Saturday and I wrongly assumed it was Jonny Mullings, as I thought he was either 9 or 6.

As a previous poster said, he is a preferred walk-on from Dubuque Wahlert. I went to Dubuque Wahlert and still live in Dubuque, I saw him kick and punt the last couple years multiple times. He has a huge leg. He made multiple 50+ yarders for Wahlert, I believe the long was 57. He was also a heck of a punter, although I do not think he will be punting for the Hawks. He is a good athlete and should be a real solid kicker for the Hawks in 2 or 3 years.

I thought the same thing at first, but noticed Mullings kicking punts at the same time Myer was kicking FG's. I thought MM looked the best of the 3 place kickers, as TM and DM both were missing a lot of 40-45 yard kicks.

Kaeding, Schlicher and Mossbrucker were all brought in under scholarship.

Thanks for the info. To follow it up, what does "preferred walk on" mean? Never heard that before.
