Who do the Hawkeyes need to win this Sat. Mich- Michigan State game?

If Michigan State wins, then everyone will think we're not that good after we whoop up on Denard Robinson.

If Michigan wins, it will give the Wolverines added confidence leading into our game. Maybe just enough cnfidence that they beleive their hype and squeak out a win.

What would be better??

I really don't want to be playing on the road against a 6-0 Michigan with fan base starting to believe that they could run the table....If They lose this game....they will crumble....Root for Michigan State.

If you look at the MSU and Mich schedule going forward. Michigan has what I feel is the tougher road. Therefore I would like Michigan to win. MSU has Iowa left then really nothing else. (they don't play OSU). With Wisconsin in their rearview mirror MSU has @ Mich, Home to Illinois, @Northwestern, @ Iowa, Home Minnesota, Home Purdue, @ Penn St.

Michigan has Home MSU, Home Iowa, @ Penn St, Home Illinois, @ Purdue, Home Wisconsin, @OSU.

I guess I'm going to root for Michigan.

Yes, I think Michigan to win...don't want them playing with any added back to the wall incentive. Not sure it matters though...kids are gonna come out and give it their best shot...had they already lost to ND, I would say MSU to put ole yeller down.

I'm cheering for Michigan. I want them to be overconfident, not coming off a loss. Added hype for Michigan = added hype when we go up there and knock them off. Also, we need to get a loss or two on MSU. Michigan will drop a few later on.

I think Michigan. It's next on our schedule, and they could conceivably leapfrog us, rankings-wise, with a win. The only way we move up in the rankings is to beat higher-ranked teams. And it would be a road win for us, while MSU would be a home win (if we were to run the table the rest of the way).

You can bet MSU is DYING to beat us in Kinnick after last year. Michigan wants to beat us, of course, but if they beat MSU, half of them are already thinking about OSU at the end of the season!

Mich for the reasons all ready given.

Although as long as they both kick the crap out of each other I will be fine with either of them winning.

I want Dick Rod out of the Big Ten. So any game Michigan plays this season I want them to lose.

I want Michigan the higher they are ranked when we kick their arse...the better for us. Also I hope MSU puts a physical beating on them so they come in with a win to our game but pay a heavy price physically.

Good post Hawkize1.......root for Michigan Saturday in what should be a hard hitting contest.

The right choice is to root for Michigan State. Here is why:

1 - We want the less confident team to be the team we play on the road, which is Michigan.

2 - We want Michigan to be "down" for as long as possible. Recently Iowa has taken over Michigan's spot as top 2 in the conference. Like it or not, there isn't room for 3 of us. We want Michigan to crumble and for them to fire Rich Rod, giving us more time to establish our program where we are.

3 - If Mich St. wins, they should be 8-0 by the time they come to Kinnick and likely ranked in the top 10. If Iowa also doesn't lose, this could be a huge game nationally.

4 - If Mich St wins they will likely show a blueprint of how to stop Michigan's offense.

Go childhood Hawkeye Kirk Cousins!

any validity to what you said has just been lost.

and one season isn't going to get michigan back to the top of the big 10. i will be rooting or michigan. they will be undefeated and getting major national hype, so when we roll into the big house and smoke them, the nation takes notice

Definitely cheering for Michigan. I want them to be the media darlings (moreso than they already are) when we beat them in the Big House...although I think MSU is going to win. I don't believe that UM can stop anybody, and this will be the first game that they will face an actual defense with a pulse.

Michigan becuz there a House hold name and look better beating an undefeated Mich rather than an undefeated MSU in BCS eyes! cuz if we win out, we still in the National Champ talk unless Bama and Oregon are undefeated! Becuz we would have played and beating 8 ranked teams! I dont think thats been done before!

Don't discount Northwestern and Penn State on the road. These teams could upset MSU.

I would like MSU to win in a close, hard hitting contest. Michigan might be a little down against Iowa. I also like the fact Wisconsin plays OSU the week before Iowa.
