Who do the Hawks want to to win; Mich or Mich State?

any validity to what you said has just been lost.

and one season isn't going to get michigan back to the top of the big 10. i will be rooting or michigan. they will be undefeated and getting major national hype, so when we roll into the big house and smoke them, the nation takes notice

The poster could have been referring to being undefeated in the big ten. As far as Michigan's one season putting them atop the big ten, IF they are able to make it to a BCS game this year, then I would definitely put them back towards the top, considering they have already had 3 Rose Bowl appearances since 2002. And this year's team may be a sign for things to come with them.

Poor job of explanation on my part, but I am glad someone could figure it out.

Also, my point about keeping Michigan down, is that if they crumble ala 2009. Rich Rod will be gone and it will take just that much longer for Michigan to come back with a new coach.

We want Michigan St to win.

I don't care who wins. I want them to beat the snot out of each other, with one winning on a fluke play (perhaps even in OT), so they can both "claim victory" (and, hopefully, stay ranked).

Then I was the Hawks to absolutely, utterley crush them both. ;)

I think that MSU is probably the better team, but I am looking forward to the game. DR has been amazing so far, but it is hard to respect the defenses he has played against. This will be the first decent test they have faced.

Oh, and no matter who wins/loses, I still want DickRod gone...

It is a close call, but I base these decisions strictly on how it impacts the Hawkeyes Rose Bowl chances.
In that case, knowing that MSU misses OSU, and it is a road game for MSU...gotta hope that Michigan wins. That will give MSU one loss,so that even if they should knock off the Hawks, Iowa could still prevail if they lose to PSU and Iowa runs the table. Michigan will still have to play OSU if they do beat MSU and Iowa, and will lose that game. Iowa could lose to michigan, beat OSU,and go to the Rose Bowl over both Michigan,OSU...and even MSU if Iowa is their only loss.

Close call, but gotta go with MSU,despite the fact that I actually prefer them as a team and school. Sorry,Sparty.
