Fran will use a combination of players and defenses against Thomas and O ST. Normally Marble would spend a lot of time on Thomas but with the ankle/toe issues may not be fully up to speed. Definitely May will draw the assignment at times and a variety of zones will be sprinkled in thru out the game.
Marble and may will draw the assignment most of the time. The perimeter defense we have had has been strong because of our help defense by woody and basabe in the paint. So I could see us use the 1-2-2 match up a little to give them a different look. I would like to see basabe on thomas a little (not a lot as he can't stick with him the whole game). My reasoning is he will alter shots and force him to put it on the floor. If basabe and woody are both in the game then woody can help on him and basabe can come from behind. This will get him out of his comfort zone. I would go with 20 min by marble, 10 min by may, 5 min by basabe, and 5 min in zone.
Really no matter what thomas will get his. So my biggest concern is how will gesell and clemmons deal with getting checked by craft. He has the ability to really demoralize players with his relentless defense. If we can keep him from causing tos we should have a punchers chance. I see osu winning by 8.

FIFY. No one gets away with more reaching in and grabbing than Aaron Craft.

White did a pretty good job on him in man, his length bothered him and Thomas didn't try and drive.

Yeah. Held Thomas to 55% shooting. He was bothered. Mad bothered.

Thomas got most of his points when Iowa was in zone, but he hit a couple of nice shots over Aaron. He was held below his season average, guess that is terrible. At no point did Thomas take over the game as he seems to do, or dominate the offensive end for OSU.
He got at least three baskets in transition and one on an offensive rebound...not sure how White can be blamed for that. That is over half of his points for the game.
