Which is more pathetic.....

9000 tickets left is not pathetic. Besides this number will go down by the time the game rolls around. It's such a hassle to go to games. I would much rather be at home in front of my 60 inch, protected from the cold, having a better view than I would have from Kinnick, not having to fight the crowds, being able to watch all the good games that are on this weekend, being able to eat and drink whatever I want and not pay $7 for a beer, and being able to sleep in instead of driving 3 hours to watch Iowa play Purdon't at 11am on a Saturday.

You do realize no beer is sold at Kinnick, don't you. I get what you are saying thought.

The University of Iowa is offering the Iowa City School District discounted ticket prices, so I think they are trying to get the stadium filled.

Good idea. They should offer this to any HS student with a valid ID no matter what district. Let the kids experience a Hawk game if there are plenty of seats available.

Staying home because you can't drink is pretty pathetic too.

Football is a form of entertainment, as is responsibly drinking in a social environment. Why exactly is one form of entertainment viewed as pathetic?

I for one enjoy having a few frosty cold ones before and during games when possible. It makes me louder, it makes me more social, it calms my nerves, etc. If that's pathetic, then f you?
