Where’s Gary Barta??

Those of us that live in central Iowa are “fortunate” enough Jamie Pollard interviewed at least once a week on one of the local radio shows. Does Gary Barta ever do interviews on the radio anywhere? Eastern Iowa?

Iowa State is defiantly winning the propaganda war here in the Des Moines area. Their fan base seems to really be growing in this area and that sucks!

Gary Barta can stay in his garage and wash his golf clubs. F that guy.

You want to win a propaganda war, get Pat Angerer and Chad Greenway to do a media event on the front lawn of the ISU campus and you'll see what fanbase shows up. It's a public school and those two aren't students anymore, so I'd like to see ISU's Paul Blart brigade try and quash that party.

Their fan base is growing in Neck Moines because ISMoo is for hayseeds who think Neck Moines is a big city. A big percentage of Iowa grads end up moving to Chicago, DC, Minneapolis or somewhere else where it is fun for 22 year olds to live. Don't worry about the propaganda and fake news.

where is Neck Moines, is it some where in the deep south?

I live in Des Moines and correct it isn't a big city but it is definitely a nice city and just a couple of years ago Forbes had it as #1 for young professionals. Of course, it is mainly for professionals in the finance, IT, and insurance industries but still very low unemployment even going back to the 2008 crash. DSM has a nice music scene and many nice, new craft breweries. People that love cycling love the area and decent water sports within 30-40 miles.

ISU is only going to get so many fans in the DSM central Iowa area and believe me there are a ton of hawkeye fans in this part of the state. I see way more Hawk vanity plates and those UI fixtures that surround license plates on cars than ISU stuff. All you have to do is look at the cars heading west after a football game in Iowa City, many 1,000's of them.

Neck Moines? I suppose you live in Ottumwa or some other sophisticated location like that?

I am not sure if you are serious, but telling people that Iowa grads don't want to live in Iowa is not a good strategy.

I-80 eastbound from the Des Moines metro to the Melrose exit is the busiest the morning before a Hawk game. The number of Nebraska plates the day after Thanksgiving is always disgusting though.

I know Gary Barta did undergo treatment for prostate cancer a couple years ago. Since he is still working, I am guessing the treatment was successful.

Also I know Barta took over this year as the Big Ten rep on the college football playoff committee, so he is going to be busy doing that this fall.

You mean he’s doing something other than fellating himself and trying to convince anyone other than his immediate family that his shit program is something special? Gary Barta sucks at his job, but at least he doesn’t pull the 14 year old shenanigans of Pollard.

It's true, though. Leave Iowa sometime. You'll see the tigerhawk pretty much everywhere in the US. The Clowns probably have 1/5th (or less) the representation of the Hox outside of the state.

Barta was on radio here last year after Fran and Dolph got suspended but other than that, he's been pretty scarce to hear.

Ames is only like 30-40 miles down the road from DSM
