Where is the Pass Rush?

A big part of the problem is the tackles are not collapsing the pocket. This overall lack of 'stoutness' at tackle is also allowing O linemen to get out on Jewell and other backers. This, in turn, puts more pressure on our safeties to make tackles and we've scene how that's gone so far this year.

SPECIAL scheme for aj.A 5-star blue plate.Yes i sound what unhappy or real unhappy.13 SNAPS last game.

Game 1: 10 out of 70 snaps (14%)
Game 2: 15 out of 72 snaps (21%)
Game 3: 13 out of 46 snaps (28%)

I would bet at least 20 snaps vs. PSU.

If the d-line can impress vs PSU...all will be forgotten from the past.

They should be rested with Iowa's time of possession lopsided last week.

Time to put up...make a statement game on the national scene.

We have been here numerous times before over the years. At the begging of many seasons Iowa plays their base defense while the new players up to speed. It usually doesn't look good against spread offenses. We miss Johnson. Lattimore is still relatively green. I'm not sure Bazata and Anthony Nelson have been 100 percent healthy. Epenesa is an excellent physical specimen but hasn't had the time to learn the system. Behind them Jewell has been slowed by an ankle injury. The new cornerbacks have done well but the free safety position has been a work in progress.

I am convinced they will get a lot better as the season progresses. I am afraid Penn State is going to be too much too soon.
