Where do visitors tailgate in Lincoln

Went to the website and it shows no public lots. If anyone is going and know where all the Hawk fans will be, please let me know. Thanks!

Good luck. Tailgating sounds awful in Lincoln. The lots on University property do not allow alcohol. Sure, you can hide it....but what fun is that when you have someone looking over your back all morning?
If you want to tailgate and drink, you have to find a lot that is off campus.
Majority of Husker fans goto the Bars to tailgate.
That's not tailgating....

We're getting there around 6 a.m. and will just drive around until we see someone flag us onto their property.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. It's more of a bar/restaurant situation, but the tailgates that are down there are pretty good. They are usually big deals, but the people that put them on "own" the spaces they are in, and have for years.
 
There are some tailgating areas NW of the stadium under the I-180 bridge. Not sure how full they get, but they are just off campus and drinking is allowed.
