Where do Uthoff & Gesell rank among best players in Iowa history?

MG, nice player, came at right time to get a lot of minutes. I'll always remember hoping he's not at FT line late in close games. Played hard.

From the Lute Olson era forward, MG might be the next point guard behind Dean Oliver, but make no mistake, he is LIGHT YEARS behind Deano. It isn't even close. I don't mean to sound like I am dogging MG. that is not my intent. But Oliver was a one-man press breaker. Needless to say that is not exactly a strength of MG. Oliver was a much better option at the line, too. He was at least as good a shooter throughout his career as MG. he is above MG overall, and it isn't really close.
