From the Lute Olson era forward, MG might be the next point guard behind Dean Oliver, but make no mistake, he is LIGHT YEARS behind Deano. It isn't even close. I don't mean to sound like I am dogging MG. that is not my intent. But Oliver was a one-man press breaker. Needless to say that is not exactly a strength of MG. Oliver was a much better option at the line, too. He was at least as good a shooter throughout his career as MG. he is above MG overall, and it isn't really close.
