When you think you've heard the worse about Iowa Football

You look at the two deeps and realize that 20 of the top 44 got offered by no one in D1 besides Iowa and ISU.

Who else is geeked up for some football?!?!?

I am hoping that sunshine can lead us to the promised land but if it's anothe failed season and Kirk doesn't step down on his own then the university has no choice but to fire him. That would be sad because it would portray him in a very very bad light. On the other hand if he steps down on his own then people will remember him for the good that he did for the program and that he tried to rebuild one final time but fell short before retiring. Go CJ save the King!!!!!!!

Great, yet another thread to bash on players. Why not just post it in one of the 100 current bashing threads??

Yeah... the smart kind... the kind that understand there is nothing to be gained in life by constantly ******** and complaining.

Yeah... that kind.

You're so enlightened. When presented with nothing but data that can't be remotely interpreted as encouraging it's perfectly reasonable to have a point of view that aligns with it.

BlindDog could not be a more fitting scree name for you.

Im not tryin to troll or flame; but I don't understand your logic. If we do well, it's because of CJB. If we have a poor season, it's because of KirFer. What about the possibility that the QB position doesn't do well, yet we have a good year? Who gets the credit there? Say for example a 2008-esque year.

edit: forgot to say the OP for making this thread=dum.

I don't think I am inclined to trust your data. "Trust, but verify." Care to back it up? No offense intended.

Have at it.

Plewa
Cox
Vandenburg
Stone
HKC
Boettger
Myers
Croston
Reynolds
Keppy
Simmons
Meier
Hesse
Bazata
Terlouw
Bower
Mends
Jewell
Perry
Snyder

I may be a bit of an outlier here; but I see some names on that list of guys that excite me and I'm eager to see perform (or continue to perform). A couple that pop off that list right away are Vandeberg, Boettger, Jewell, Bower, and even Meier (more of them as well, but those 5 at a quick glance).

I also don't usually get too worked up by someone's offer list (or in this case... Lack thereof). Especially for developmental guys. We don't have an idea of what work these guys do during their first couple of years in the program. Boettger is a fine example of this. He signed his LOI at 235lbs and is over 300 now. This guy has been doing work; and focusing on his offer list won't give any insight into that.

I'm excited about every year of Hawkeye football (and basketball) and go into every season thinking we're going to have a good year... and I hope that never changes for me. Am I disappointed a lot, and do I realize the odds are against us many years? Of course... I'm not an idiot! Many don't understand this way of thinking, and I'm okay with that.

Look, pal, Kurt Ferrets turns no-name football players into NFL draft picks. You should be damned glad we have him. Iowa can't do much better. Gary Barta needs to give him another contract extension so he stays in Iowa City and is less inclined to jump to the next level. What's your bitch?

Are you here to bash Iowa or just trying to escape the dismal and inevitable disaster of a season coming up in fantasy island.
