I think this year is going better than planned without the win loss results. The passing game is improved and it looks like we have a qb that will give us a good chance and some good years the next two. I think there is more young talent on this team than any I can remember. I also think my main issues with Kirk have gotten less noticeable the last couple years. He is less conservative (still a little too much for my liking) and his clock management has improved (still not as good as I want). Those were his huge downfalls and they've improved a lot over the last 3 years.

I disagree in that the hawks are very close to being 6-0. This team can win most every remaining game but they have to play 4 qtrs of really good football.

Sounds like Wirfs is in for good now. Stanley will have to have a lot of trust when your backside and front side have two rookies blocking. I am sure that will not go unnoticed by Wisconsin or any other team left.

When was the last time an Iowa team played 4 quarters of really good football? At most, they might play 2 decent quarters in a game. Even if they do OSU, and Wisconsin are both losses.

You disagree with what? That the ceiling is 8-4? Wisconsin, Ohio State, Minnesota, Purdue, Nebraska, Northwestern. I'm a VERY optimistic Iowa Hawkeye football fan, but there isnt 5-1 finish in the home stretch. Wisconsin and Ohio State will be heavily favored. Say we upset Wisconsin. History says we lose at least 1 to Minnesota or Northwestern. And Purdue is pretty decent this year. Nebraska. Im sorry mr. disagree, but you have watched Iowa play this year right?
Yes, if we played perfect football we could have challenged for 10-2 or 11-1. Perfect football. We dont even play great football let alone perfect. 8-4 is the CEILING at this point. That includes IF we beat OSU or WISKY. 6-0? Yea, or 3-3 possibly 2-4 had wyoming finished strong. I love the Hawks but 8 wins would be a great get this year.
