Wow, so that's how it feels when the offense scores.
Got to give credit to both defense and the offense in this game. Phil did what Phil does at halftime........... analyze, make adjustments, and show why he is one of the best defensive coordinators.
Even if we had lost this was a fun game to watch. I wish I was there to get a free tv.

Actually Mike Ditka in his famous quote had the Grabowski thing wrong. The Bears were the Smiths-they had a Morrissey on their team.

My wife is in marketing and was like, "So...they just expect those 50 people to sit in the stands with a damn TV for the rest of the game?" I figured 3 people would leave immediately with their TV and the other 47 would manage to lose or leave theirs behind...meaning the promotion would only cost them 3 TVs in the end.
Well, yah..assuming you mean "traditional" Iowa style....not contemporary new fangled Iowa style. Pre 2020, for sure.
Been a long time now since we had an offense with both the want-to and the able-to.
That was a damn fun watch. First half was tough, but as porous as the defense looked, Iowa kept scoring. I mean just so happy to see more touchdowns than field goals. The red zone wasn't the usual partial letdown it's been for awhile now.
First two offense plays were 20+ yard pass attempts that were cattchable balls. That may be something I have NEVER seen. Probably have, but you know what Im saying.
When I say fun to watch, doesn't mean I think they're a great team. Or high hopes for this season, I have reasonable expectations of beating teams we should beat. And maybe beating one they aren't expected to. And did so with at least a mildly fun to watch offense.
which for Iowa fans is a REALLY fun to watch offense.
The Sickos are going to have to find a new team to Champion. Kirk needed this win. Lester needed this win. Goetz needed this win.

And more than once I wondered about the timing and severity of the injuries- a couple of the players just trotted off after they got up. I dunno, maybe I am over thinking it.......
