I don't think the economy is going to have a big impact on people. It isn't really any worse than it was last year and in the big scheme of things, it didn't negatively impact last year.
Last year- Eastern Illinois, ISU, Ball State, Penn State, Wisconsin, MSU and OSU.
This year- Tenn Tech, Pitt, LA Monroe, Northwestern, Indiana, Michigan and MSU.
The schedule is why it did not impact last year. We will see how it plays out with the team having much lower expectations going into the season and a much less desiarble home schedule.
For me it's simple. Would I rather spend my fall saturdays in front of a TV or 8 rows up in section 138, after tailgating all day. For me, I'll support this program til the end regardless whether they couldn't live up to the expectations.

I posted this in another thread but this is probably the perfect place for it...what does everyone think about tickets for the Husker game?
This will obviously be a hot ticket and I suspect most season ticket holders will put in a request for tickets. It will be the hottest and toughest road ticket in quite some time. Very few tickets for Iowa fans will be available outside of the allotment unless you are willing to spend $$$ on stubhub or have a Husker connection.
I have been contemplating moving up from a Silver to Golden Hawk anyway...I think a GH level would be enough to guarantee me tickets to this game but maybe not. What I-Club level do you guys think tickets will fall to? Golden? Silver? I cannot imagine lower than Silver. Thoughts?
If I remember right, the Iowa State and Minnesota games are marked on the away game ticket application that you must be a Golden Hawk I Club member to be guaranteed tickets.
I would anticipate the Nebraska game would fall into that category as well.
