What's up with Moss?

Logged a total 6 minutes after starting. Certainly starting with an 0-10 run and he had a travel early on but to not see the floor again when 2 of our other guards are hurt/sick??

A lot of Fran's decisions are head scratching. Did he have a post game interview last night? I'd like to hear what he said about Moss. He certainly isn't doing anything to build up a Freshman's confidence. He's one of only a few players who play hard on both sides of the ball.

Probably my biggest question after that game for me too... Dailey got PT over him... And I don't think it's because Dailey's been out playing him in practice. I'm guessing Moss in the dog house for some reason and if he doesn't start Saturday that'd be it...

I'll catch hell for this, but I really don't foresee Fran coaching the Hawks past next season.
Yeah probably. Release the hounds... With his kids coming I don't see one or even two down years throwing a monkey wrench in him coaching them...

I know Moss played well for a game or two but I haven't seen that lately. Probably a confidence issue with him and with Fran also.

Id' like to hear why he lets Cook continue to be a ball hog.

If the athletic director didn't get rid of Ferentz, he certainly isn't going to get rid of Fran with four freshmen starting on the team, and the star player hurting. I think Moss has a lot of natural ability, but he doesn't seem to have a real aggressive personality. The really great players have that extra heartbeat. He reminds me a lot like Uthoff was his first couple of years at Iowa.

Nobody thinks Fran will be fired after this season.

Is he trying to play too many in a rotation. Well, I wouldn't call it a rotation at this point. Mix and match more like it.

The announcer (Was it Seth Davis) pointed it out pretty good last night when he commented on the dilemma that Fran has which is he has guys that go to the rim but don't rebound that well and guys that rebound pretty well but that don't go to the rim very good. It's difficult to get the right personnel in without giving up one or the other.

Fran isn't going anywhere unless he chooses to leave. Team loaded with freshman with kick azz classes coming in. He gets at least 2 more years after this year.

I was wondering if you were suggesting he might move on to a new gig and take his son with him. Personally I don't see it happening this year but if next year is a struggle it wouldn't be unthinkable.

Kriener needs to be in the usual rotation at this point. He and Baer seem to have a high basketball IQ.
I agree...but would add that he is in the rotation. And I doubt that he's going anywhere. Also, I think he has a higher basketball IQ than the other freshmen interior players. And he and Bohannon look like they have played together for year...which they have.

Fran's handling of the entire game last night, let alone Moss, was frustrating. Jok's play was killing us, yet Fran kept him in there over Moss. Fran has to be killing this kids confidence. I just don't get it.
