Answer: None of the above. All those other decades are the real ceiling, those decades above were flukes. We need to stop criticizing average. The Cyclones would luv to be at our average. Why can't we appreciate being avg?
My answer is the 50s. 2 victorious BCS bowl games per decade. I think that is consistently achievable and should be the expectation. Any coach who publicly or privately poo poos that idea should be gone. If the expectation is avg we need to do away with "elite level" contracts and give the fans a break on the ticket prices.
