Just wondering, did Dan Doering ever crack the two-deeps? He was a five star recruit who I don't ever remember hearing his name called during his Iowa career.

Yes - IIRC the story was they were doing summer conditioning drills and Doering had a habit of less than stellar effort which PA called him out which then led to little physical altercation.

Funny, the story going around on this board is that Angerer was getting after DJK for being DJK in the weight room and DD did the stand up for my fellow offensive player thing, Angerer told him where to stuff it and DD didn't back down so...

He was part of the class that included Dace Richardson and Tony Moeki. I thought that Dace and Doering were going to make a nice line combo. But it never happened. Dan was injured for most of his career. Dace did pretty good.

I remember a story about how Edds pulled Angerer asided and giving him a talk about getting focused and not goofing off. He followed AJ's advice and his last 2 seasons were good.
