What would turn around the season.

Winning the west would be a turn-around from where this season is going: Meh Bowl.

Losing two games Iowa had no business losing means Michigan and Nebraska and PSU are must-wins to change the perspective on this season. So, yeah, winning out puts Iowa at the 9-3 record I thought was the floor.

Going OFER4 in the conference at Kinnick is absolutely unacceptable.

Show a consistent pulse on offense. Respectable defense. 8 wins. WIN A "reasonably" respectable BOWL GAME ! DAVIS "retires" (and we find a hungry OC with HC aspirations)

Changes above. it will still feel dissappointing overall, but much better than now...

Winning the four remaining games would put the season where a lot of people thought it would be at 9-3, but the chances of that happening are remote. 8-4 is more a possibility and not a bad season.
Less than 8-4 is not what we expected from this team. I think most of us expected Iowa to lose a few games. A few people picked below 7-3. But the way Iowa looked in their losses has left a bitter taste on the season.

1. Dont go 6-6
2. Win a freaking bowl game for a change, and not one in Detroit or New York City
3. Ruin Nebraska's perfect season if Wisc doesn't.

There's no turning this season around. With Penn State, Michigan and Nebraska still on the schedule, it's likely to look worse.
While I'd never root against Iowa, I'm also not sure winning one or even two of those three games would be worse for us moving forward. I would sooner win 6 games over 7 this year if it meant Greg Davis would be gone.
Greg Davis is not the problem.. Ferentz is the problem..

Jerry Rice and Larry Fitzgerald. Anyone on the outside that can get separation.

What the hell is all this talk about separation? We have the perfect offense and it works 99% of the time. You run 3 yards, turn around and wait for the football. You don't need Jerry Rice for that. A pirate peg leg can run that route. People have ridiculous expectations for this team and for GD. I am so frustrated with the ungratefuls and the deplorables!!!!:mad::mad::mad:

That would be just plain silly. The problem (KF) would still be there. I want the Hawks to win every game, regardless..

Short of winning out, beat Michigan, Illinois and Nebraska, and win the bowl game, a la 2008 season, where the Hawks beat No. 3 Penn State. I have no idea, none, how they'll accomplish this, but I'm just offering my free, unsolicited advice on what it would take to make Hawkeye fans feel good about this year. Good luck, Hawks. I'll leave the details up to you.
Why would you even start a thread on this subject?! We are who KF has created a mediocre football team.

If we beat Michigan and Nebraska and they wind up in the championship game, it'll look pretty good.

Don't have much left for expectations as they were crushed long ago but to see our offense start making plays would be nice. how is it almost every team outside of maybe Minnesota finds playmakers at wr. even isu. at least we will do it the "right way" with good Ole Kirk having the reigns. atleast they will graduate with honors and have a few walk on success stories. watch the recruits be amazed by our on the field play!!
