What the heck Dish Network!

looks like a nice lust of channels for $49.95. Is that really the price for the complete channel list?
Yes. And no contract, sales tax, local tax, or fees. $49.95 (or $44.99 for Hulu) is exactly what comes out of your bank account every month.

Yes it is the whole shebang. Lot of free stuff you can add on(Pluto, Roku Channel, Stirr to name a few) so for me Youtubetv is all I pay for.

thanks everyone for the help
PlayStation Vue is solid and worth looking into. I've had them all. The problem with HULU is that the user interface is horrible. For $15 more a month they allow unlimited streams. That is why use HULU for football season as I have at least 4 TVs going at once watching games. PSVUE allows up to 4-5 simultaneously streams as well if this is an issue for no additional cost and the user interface is much better. After football season I will most likely get rid of HULU. You can always just use Sportztv for $15 a month or Streams 4 Us and get every channel know to man but I would use a good VPN service if you do that.

Soon as I heard last night called dish to cancel their fucking bullshit service. Of course it was 56 minute wait time and they couldn't complete call right now so decided to use chat with agent option and was que 303. Needless to say I couldn't get it done. Funny how they prepared to not accept calls or chat help! F em!

Not exaggerating when I say I can’t think of a single reason why anyone would stay with Dish or cable.

If someone is willing to put up with triple the monthly price, equipment rental, contracts, sales tax, local option taxes, surcharges, unreliability, and network blackout wars just so their wives can have Hallmark, well...I guess I’ll just say I don’t understand it.

You've obviously never had great sex after a Hallmark movie during the holidays.

Nothing like having your woman scream, "Come home to me, Trevor, bring it home, you rough cowboy!"

Ok, maybe that's more "Lifetime" movie shtick, but the content is similar.

Jeezus this really sucks, I literally re-upped with Dish for 2 more years 1 week ago today. I desperately needed new equipment as mine was at least 5 years old and starting to malfunction.

If I wind up missing Iowa games on the BTN then I'm going to be PISSED!

You call up and say, YOU ARE NOT HONORING MY CONTRACT for the programming you agreed to. Say F you then get a streaming service. It's not worth the f'ing headache and stress.

It will be interesting the first time one of the streaming services has to go through this re-negotiation. Fox, ESPN, etc. could easily do this to Hulu, YouTubeTV, or PSVue. I just don't think they have the subscribership yet to make it worthwhile.

Do it man. Don't be like all these other fools who ponder it and say they've been wanting to do it for a some time but just can't . Then bitch when the satellite or cable company are in negotiations. Just freaking do it. It's painless, a free trial. No f'ing reason not to at this point.

I'm laughing at people now who are in the middle of these negotiations. NO REASON TO BE AT THIS POINT! People just need to DO IT!!

Yea, I was wondering that as well. Might have egg on my face at some point.

But, the big difference is that one is not in a contract and can literally be with another streaming service in less than an hour and out nothing. Also, wouldn't have to take equipment back or send back or have a gawdy dish in their yard.

I guess you don't like the internet.

Believe it or not, for some of us our only good option for decent internet service is cable. If we don't package phone and TV along with the broadband access, the cable company just charges more for internet. I would think that's a good reason to stay with cable.
