Scherff has put some very good efforts on tape vs Mich St & OSU; most teams will likely see him as mid-late 1st round value. Guessing he'll line up at RT in the NFL; could end up at OG as well. Either way I think he'll be a starter early on in his career.
If I was advising him, I would tell him the choices are this:
1) Go to the draft this year and you are likely a 1st round pick, and get the financial security that goes with it. You'd be leaving school early & it's a big life change to jump to the NFL. You'll be in a new city, possibly far from home and family, and will largely be on your own.
2) You stay another year, polish your game, and improve technically. You also finish school. You can get an insurance policy and protect yourself against the possibility of injury during your SR year.
Honestly those are both pretty good options. I've met Brandon and talked to him numerous times the last couple years. My impression was he's a mature, responsible kid off the field and is ready to make the jump to the NFL. Ultimately it's up to him though.
