What seed will Iowa be in the NIT?

I think Iowa is very bubbly at this point but win one of the next two, and they're in pretty decent shape heading into an easier stretch of schedule, but of course, that also means the opportunity for "big wins" is dwindling.

It's hard to know what to predict record-wise, but I predict the rest of the season will see the Hawks in contention for an NCAA bid the whole way, but never really solidly "in", either. IMO, it's going to come down to the Big Ten Tournament for us to feel good about things, needing to win at least one game, maybe two.

Iowa has an interesting resume. 3 Top 50 wins, and no bad losses (outside of Top 100). That said, they only have four Top 100 wins, with Minnesota being the 4th, at 91. So despite three pretty nice looking wins, there's little else. Granted, that will change if Iowa plays like an NCAA Tournament team the next month.

I'm not sure which I'd rather see ...

Beating Michigan and Maryland, getting hopes up, then losing to all of Nebby, PSU and (ugh, at home) Minny, or,

lose the next 2 but take care of business / beat everyone they should over the final 8 and head to BTT on a bit of a roll.

UNC was a good win, but OSU is down by their standards and Minnesota isn't anything special.

You guys really need to win one of your next two, then you should be good.

OSU will finish second in the big ten. Go watch the replay of your team getting blown out last night.

For the last time stop it with the name calling. I predicted Iowa to win against UNC, did you? If I was right about that I could easily be right about Iowa being in the NCAA tournament you will owe me an apology.

What about when you predicted Iowa to win at the Kohl center and they got beat by 30? You owe every single person on the board an apology for that one.

To be honest I'm not even sure if you did predict it but I'm guessing you did as you always predict an Iowa win.

Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, and Minnesota.

Barring injury there's no way anyone is going to convince me that this Iowa team is going to lose these 4 games...all 4. Minnesota has won 3 conference games...all at home. Those wins are against Rutgers, Illinois and Penn State. Only the Penn State win was by more than 9 points. They are win less on the road including losses to Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan and Purdue. Iowa's home losses are to Iowa State, Michigan State and Wisconsin. It's a huge upset if Minnesota gets a win at Carver.

I'm not going to say Iowa won't lose the other 3 but it's doubtful they lose all 3. I'm still landing on 11-7 in conference play.

Nick I also called the UNC win. One thing you are lacking in is the thumbs department. Now you and I could be the biggest fans on here. However I do question the amount of thumbs up you have given. Get to work son.

Most of the time I use this site I am on my phone using the mobile version so thumbs up is not available when I get on that way. I am pretty good with my thumbs up when I am at my computer.

Iowa is within a few points and a few seconds away from being 2-6. Lucky to hold on vs Minnesota. Team is not mentally tough, has no swager or real leader. Coaching staff in not B10 capable. NIT it is.

Iowa has been shown at 10 or 11 seeds. With the toughest part of our schedule over I like our chances at the NCAA tournament. Wins against Michigan and Maryland would put me in a happy place ala Happy Gilmore.

Winning the next 2 and finishing 10-8 would be almost as bad as the end of last year. I'll be hoping for 12-6 if we win the next 2.
