What Our Iowa Coaches Are Driving - Car Dealerships

It’s a pretty common practice at the college level and up….we supply a car to the Packers and Bears both and get free tickets and various other things out of the deal.

At one time we supplied one to to the cubs and white sox as well.

Can't our boys get something other than run of the mill crap from Gov't Motors? Sheesh. KF knocks down $4 million a year and he chooses a chevy tahoe?!?

So what should he drive? If you say anything that is not American a phantom Ricky Stanzi fist will strike you in the face.

The donated car program has been around for LONG time at Iowa. The dealers have always been listed in programs since I started going to games in late 1960's. I am surprised at some of positions getting a car though.
The key is seeing that the athletes/players dont get free cars, even though they may need them more than coaches.

Me to. That is what suprised me when reading. The head of the grounds crew. Spouses of coaches. They just must get that many cars.

Anyway, it puts the OSU situation in perspective & I can definitely see how these cars can filter down & find their way to the players, unfortunately. It's wrong but is so tempting to a young athlete.

The cars to the coaches may be legit, but, in some programs, these cars are also going to find their way to some star athletes. There is a vein there & it is difficult to stop the flow of blood at times, if you know what I mean.

The government owning a private company is quite un American. That being said I really do like the new Tahoes. This is just the media looking for a story on a slow news day. Yawn, not worth your time to read.

I didn't read on there that any of the coaches are driving mopeds!!! What's that all about. Sorry I couldn't resist.
