What is WRONG with the BigTenNetwork? Really?

Why in the world isn't the BTN covering the Big10 Baseball tournament?

They were showing something to do with Tennis and a 1994 BigEight Fooball game
this afternoon.
 
Fair question!!! There are only two primary sports in all of college....men's basketball and football. Of anything, I would have to say baseball would be the very next most popular sport to watch. What is the point of a big ten sports network if they don't even televise the 3rd most popular sport's conference tournament during a time when no other sports are even in action. Dumb.

I believe I'm reading this right as a slight dig at BIG Baseball. Which is fine, but I agree with the other posters... no matter your view of BIG Baseball it is clearly more interesting to viewers at this time of year than a rerun of something etc. I think a large portion of viewers who pay for dish/cable do so to receive live sports, not reruns, otherwise we'd just pay for Netflix or whatever. I for one thinks it makes no sense to not show the BIG Tournament Live. If you want a better product, promote it BTN. To not have that drama on the BTN yesterday was a huge whiff for the BTN.
 
BTN needs to recognize that they are accountable to their viewers. If they choose not to televise the BT baseball tournament, they should explain why to their viewers. I am going to search the site to see if email feedback is even an option. If so, I will be sure to ask the question. Hope you will, too.
 
I think the BTN is trying to prop up their BTN2go subscription service. All the games are available there. For a price. Cant show them for free when you can make people pay.

I bet your right.... But who the hell wants to watch stuff on their phone if you can watch it on your big screen? Why don't they negotiate to pay the schools less and charge those of us less?... (sarcasm)
 
We get the SEC Network and their streaming network, SEC Network+. There is no extra charge for either. Almost all of the SEC baseball games for the entire season were on one or the other. Plus several non conference games. Big Ten baseball struggles for attendance and they choose to not promote it. And we wonder why the SEC is becoming more popular than the Big Ten.
 
The BigTen is the more popular and better Conference, despite what Espin wants you to think.

The Big10 earned more revenue than the SEcheat.

This thread was started about the BigTenNetwork. We don't need No Sec crap in here.

Iowa's game against Michigan tonight will be carried LIVE on the Big Ten Network. Win enough, and they'll put Iowa on TV.
 
Does the Big Ten network do any regional coverage or does everything air everywhere. I don't get the network myself, so I was curious.
 
You really want some frustration? Go the BTN.com and try to find the bracket for the conference baseball tourney.
