What Iowa players get picked in the NFL Draft?

Easily Hyde, if anybody wants to debate this I point to Shaun Prater who had an even worse Senior season and he was picked in the sixth round. Maybe Ferentz.I know there was a thread talking about Davis making the NFL earlier this year, but I doubt that if Mcnutt and DJK couldn't make an NFL roster he won't even be drafted.
Hyde-6th
Ferentz-7th
Davis-FA signing then dropped
Hitchens-FA signing

Hitchens was only a Junior this year, why would he leave early?

Hitchens is a Junior....I think?.....pretty sure. JVB will not get drafted, but will attend some camps. I don't suspect he sticks though.

JVB lights up the defense in the senior bowl with 250 yards on 15 attempts, 3 TDs, 0 picks. Drafted in 3rd round.

My bad, I thought he was a senior. I guess that's a bonus for next year

only a bonus if KF doesn't bench him like he did late in the year, while another "unnamed" linebacker continued to completely stink up the playing field with missed tackles or tackles 6 yards down field because he refuses to attack the line of scrimmage like a quality middle linebacker should.

Maybe Hyde, if he excels at the combine.
That'd be it. I can't see one other Hokk in this year's crap...err, I mean, crop...of seniors that will even get a sniff from The League.

Polish Hat Tight end has the measurables to get drafted right now, and had two decent games to end the season.

Hyde has a slim to none chance. He better turn some heads at the combine if he wants a shot.

Please, Hyde will get drafted. He has speed, he ran down the NW Rb, and he was the B1G DB of the year. He is well respected. I don't know why people are so down on him, the defense was not good, he may have let his guy get open, but when the QB has 5 seconds every play to stand in the pocket it will happen. Hyde was decent this year, not great, but he was not bad.

Hyde will get drafted, maybe not until the 5th round. Nobody else I see getting drafted unless some team is really gambling. Ferentz would be drafted if he had another 15-25 pounds on him.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this or not, but do we actually know that Hitchens was benched? The announcers stated during the Nebby or Michigan game (can't remember which) that an injury had him sidelined. Not that I give them the benefit of the doubt but didn't know whether or not this was a confirmed benching or speculation.

I actually had a conversation with a former Iowa player at the Nebraska game. He has connections throughout the NFL, former players, scouts, etc. He was told that if JVB has a good combine that he would get drafted in 6th or 7th round. He was told that scouts realize that JVB is not as bad as he appeared this year. Scouts say this is the slowest Iowa team in 25 years. They realize that JVB played in an absolutely TERRIBLE system this year and that he has absolutely ZERO talent around him.

Take it for what it's worth. I was very surprised to hear that.

I think Hitchens, in an interview with the media, mentioned himself that he was benched. Or so I thought...

Edit - Here's something Jon posted:
Morehouse just tweeted that Hitchens told him he was benched

Hyde will be drafted in the middle rounds (3rd through 5th). Ferentz may get a shot in the later rounds (6th/7th), and Vandenburg, Tobin, and K. Davis are unlikely to be drafted but may/should field some FA calls and get a shot to stick somewhere.

EDIT: One thing I think many people overlook in regards to Vandenburg is how difficult it is as a QB knowing you have to be PERFECT with EVERY throw you make because the WR's cannot gain any separation. Many QB's have larger windows/margin for error, but JVB consistently had the tiniest of openings to throw to. After a while that can get mentally draining. Not necessarily excusing his poor play this season, but there are many more factors to the equation than just "JVB suckz!!!!1".

Per Marc Moorehouse -- Hitchens indicated that he as benched in the 2nd half of the Purdue game. The magically was injured for the Michigan game the next week.

its obvious you didn't watch the game.
Morris was out because of a injury, that was ALSTON that was missing all those tackles.
Hyde mid round
Ferentz 4-5 round
Tobin 5-7th round
Davis depending on how he does in the predraft camps, can't blame him if you pile all the blame on the QB
Bigach and Gaglione might get a invite
as for Tobin he has the size at 6'6 to be a good OG in the NFL and while Scherff was playing they made a great pair on the left side
