What Iowa players get picked in the NFL Draft?

Morris was out because of a injury, that was ALSTON that was missing all those tackles.

Morris played into the 2nd half of the Purdue game, but I was referring to the whole year/career with Morris. He has been a starting linebacker for 3 years and running backs are constantly getting 3+ yards after he makes contact, he never reads the play and attacks the line of scrimmage like Angerer or Hodge did, and if he is isolated in space against a running back it is 50/50 whether he will even touch him let alone make the tackle.

I actually had a conversation with a former Iowa player at the Nebraska game. He has connections throughout the NFL, former players, scouts, etc. He was told that if JVB has a good combine that he would get drafted in 6th or 7th round. He was told that scouts realize that JVB is not as bad as he appeared this year. Scouts say this is the slowest Iowa team in 25 years. They realize that JVB played in an absolutely TERRIBLE system this year and that he has absolutely ZERO talent around him.

Take it for what it's worth. I was very surprised to hear that.

But if you are, it would not surprise me to see JVB do better in the combines and land in someone's camp. He has the size and tools to be a good NFL quarterback. I think his thinking ability and confidence were severely harmed the past two years at Iowa. I don't know whether he would actually make anyone's roster. But I think he is better than what he showed on the field this year.
