What if Iowa had beaten Nebraska last year?

Would there have been a New Kirk (or, as I see it, a return to the Original Kirk)? I don't think so. He's said that loss caused them to re-evaluate everything about the state of the program (moreso than the Taxslayer Bowl, which was an extended hangover from the Nebraska game). Maybe in the end, it was a "good loss". The proverbial slap in the face.

Imagine if they beat iowa state and nebraska last year instead of blowing late leads in both games. They win 9 games and don't even play Tennessee. It's crazy to think what iowa would be right now

I think we would still have a pre-med student at QB.

What if the Mich/Fla refs don't screw Iowa in 2005? Recruiting up-tick that started (and ended) with the 2005 class continues and Iowa wins national titles in 2008 and 2009. That's what happens.

....and Maryland.....

We were 3 blown leads, significant leads, away from a 10 win season. It's "how" we lost those games....

arrrgghh, that nebby game still bothers
