What happened to the zone read option play this year??

I thought when CJB came into the game today the hawks might go to shotgun and zone read ( or whatever you call it) to try to give LSU a different look, maybe break a couple big runs, and then throw out of that formation.

I can see why we didnt run it after Jake hurt his knees but I think CJB might have made a big play or two out of it.

Defending the option is primarily about being fundamentaly sound in your assignments not athleticism.

Auburn won the sec running option.

If the defense makes a bad move or leaves a gap open CJB or Canzeri are fast enough to make yards.

I didnt say run it every play but it might have given us a new look and a few good plays in a tight game
