I typed that out from memory, letter by letter. What is this "cut and paste" you speak of?
I feel like a cold war Kremlin watcher. The U.S. used to make policy based on who stood next to who at parades in the old USSR. It's so hard to get a read on KF, but something that really jumped out at me was seeing Lowery listed behind Prater and not behind Hyde on this week's depth chart.
This thread got me thinking. At first I thought maybe the change in the depth chart was a message to Prater to work harder because Lowery has been making his presence felt recently. But my second thought is that the thing that really impressed me about Lowery during the open practices was his speed when blitzing from the corner.
With Binns on that side could there be a plan to put Lowery in at times and blitz from that corner?
Or, IIRC, BJ Cunningham took advantage of Prater's soft zone play quite a few times last year. After Lowery's glove tight coverage Saturday could they be thinking tighter coverage on Cunningham this year?
Is Norm going to try to take away one side of the field and force Cousins to throw to Hyde's side?
Whatever the plan it is going to be exciting to watch it unfold Saturday.

MSU is 12th in the league in rushing. They have quality backs,but their o-line has been somewhat decimated by injuries this year,but,they get a couple of linemen back this week. Clearly,Hawks must clamp down on the run.
Then, I think they have to selectively bring a blitz on passing downs. Cousins is smart as a whip,so cannot be predictable or fall into a pattern,but must make him move his feet at least. If he settles into the pocket and steps into throws,we are in trouble.
I agree with shading toward Cunningham...but watch out for Martin,who is also very slippery along the sideline.
Biggest challenge of the year for the Hawks right here. MSU smells the Big Ten title game,and they are seething about last year....they will come out on fire. Senior Day emotion must offset it....get ready,Hawkfans!!

So he has 5 picks in 9 games.
Last year he came in with 4 picks in 8 games and threw 3 picks to HAWKEYES.

I'm pretty sure as far as scheme goes will be in the 4-3 all day. Thats the one with 4 dlineman, 3 linebackers, and 4 dbs. We'll probably do that one all day as kind of a base defense and then just send linebackers out to cover wide receivers when they're in 4 and 5 wide receiver sets. Yep that's probably the plan. This will be the most vanilla we are all season long.

Sometimes vanilla tastes reallly good. Quarter-quarter-half baby! We were pretty vanilla with them last year and that worked out pretty well. Cousins isnt that great. Sash's pick came from film study and he jumped the route. I hope our D is in the film room rather than on the town this week. Much more important than scheme.
