What comes to mind when you think of Nebraska?

I think in my lifetime that 1981 season and the 10-7 win. I was just becoming aware of football as life, but that was the start of all this....where we are today as a program...didn't matter that it was nebraska..although at the time it was like a win over alabama or notre dame would mean to our program now...that 81 team was excellent...but it was Nebraska that was the team we beat that signaled the new Era of iowa football. Thanks for standing on the tracks that day Nebraska.

Still the best football memory of my life. My first game ever. I remember my dad trying to temper my enthusiasm before the game a little bit and then being like a kid himself on the ride home.

Their State Capitol Building is famous. It is referred to as, get ready, "The Penis of the Plains." Google a picture, if you don't know.

Gas stations & truck stops stuffed to the rafters full of cheesy Husker sh!t.

Also serenely beautiful landscape marred by a variety of atrocious weather.

If you think driving thru Nebby sucks, give Kansas a shot and you'll recalibrate your standards. Kansas is exponentially worse in every way.

Henry-Doorly Zoo......fixating on the past to the point of entitlement....oblivious to the mess that went on behind the scenes while St. Tom and Devaney before him feasted on weak teams year in, year out. Alas their shiny trophies are quickly becoming as relevant as all of Minny's titles.

Man this thread makes me depressed that I'm a hawk stuck in husker land so I will say Johnny Carson just so I don't feel so bad. GO HAWKS

Roger Craig thumbing his nose at Hayden while he tooled all the way to Lincoln on I-80, passing IC, on his way to being all-world. Still upsets me.

1)Elk Creeks at Sandys in Downtown Lincoln.
2)That smoking hot blonde cheerleader in the big ten mascot video "call me maybe"
3) Olys Big Game lounge in Paxton
4) a decent football team.

Fighting to be bowl eligible... because they are a national powerhouse

A very long flat boring drive to get to Colorado , do they actually grow good crops there?, it just looks very brown with a few strange looking hill like structures just to tease you before you actually see the beautiful mountains of Colorado .

The very first thing a Bug-Eater learns upon arriving on campus.
