What a fun team to watch

Rutgers got about half of their rebounds on two possessions where they had several tip-in opportunities and missed.

Hawks came into Rutgers like a runaway truck.....

It is crazy, but the ball moves so much better in the offense without Pete. I think we would be a better team when Pete comes back if he would dedicate a ton more energy to defense, concentrate on that, get is 15-20 points. If he would sacrifice some scoring energy for some defensive energy, this team would be way better off for it.

Either that or try to always have Baer and Wagner in the game for the majority of minutes Pete plays.

I think Fran is finally settling into some good rotations. We can't have Cook and Pemsl on the floor together for long stretches, they are both just too bad defensively. I like the combos of Wagner/Cook and Uhl/Pemsl

Good job guys. This is why most fans are excited to see what we can do in the next year or two. If we play better with Jok out then so be it.

Yes, team is a blast to watch with scoring coming from everywhere, high energy, lots of ball movement, good shooting, D coming around, and no ball hogging. Future looks bright, looking for revenge Sunday and maybe they could give us all a big surprise yet this year...........

Just think ... the HN trolls have been trying to sell this bleak future for Iowa without Jok, much like they did when Marble was a senior, then when White was a senior...etc. Also, the HN trolls have been trying to sell that Iowa is now back in the Todd Lickleiter years. TL high water mark was 6 wins in the B1G, Fran has got Iowa to 5 already with a predominantly freshman and sophomore team without an all B1G guard.

Whens the last time Iowa got up big early like that and just rolled the entire way? Even during what amounted to being a mini run by Rutgers there was never a threat of them coming back. I like that there isn't a ball hog out there. Not that Jok is a total ball hog but he's similar to Carmelo Anthony to me. The ball does tend to stop with him a lot. There weren't very many bad shots taken at all. Which helps with the shooting percentage of the team obviously too. This group was due a night like that and on the road to boot. Hope they keep building off of it.

Just hope Fran doesn't let Pete play unless he's 100%. He's not a great defender when he is 100% but he's a turnstile when <100%.

If he's only 90% I say keep him benched.

It's a really tough call to make. Jok is a phenomenal scorer. He is a senior and has given a ton to this University and program. We have to find a way to bring him back into the line up without compromising the progress we have built. Jok getting drafted first round will do alot for National perception and recruiting traction. We have to find a way to keep winning with Jok scoring 20 a night. It is best for the program that way IMO.
