No doubt. That Northwestern State loss was way better than beating Virginia at home and Maryland in the Garden, while watching a young team gel before our eyes to setup next year's campaign beautifully.

NCAA first round loss to a fair team is so, so much better than playing 5 games in the NIT and being in the championship on Thursday. So, so much better. Smooth.

Nahhh, doesn't work that way. Everyone will have forgotten the 2013 NIT one year from now, the NCAA is what they remember. However I agree with Billso, and it seems that this tournament has been a huge plus for the team and individually for Marble. Both could possibly be in the top 4 of the conference next year.

I know it is only the NIT but no school from the state of Iowa has ever won a D1 post season tournament, in fact Iowa is the only school to have even played for any post season championship (first was in 1956, NCAA). If Iowa wins it I think people around here will remember.

We need to stop trolling each other over this and enjoy the ride. If Iowa is fortunate enough to win tomorrow we will be trolled enough by the jelly and butthurt clown fans.
