Whar Ferentz Haters?

whats really so comical and annoying however is how besides about 3 posters none of these "told ya so" ferentz people made any posts defending him the past months... but now they are in a mad sprint for their key board.

I'm fine with people disagreeing with me or whoever... but sheesh have the spine to say it all the time.

Some ppl have better things to do in their lives than argue with know it all ******* jerks with nothing better to do than ***** about a game that's more or less a source of entertainment. Half the know it all Nancy's don't even know how to spell our quarterbacks name after 12 games. End of story

Exactly. I hate the "told you so" type people that have no guts until their crazy predictions come true.

what? theres a morality rule for amount of threads started? I must have missed that one.

now we got peeps acting like posting the same thing over and over is good stuff.... the corners that people will back themselves into logically.

tis funny.

I've been saying it all season, if it matters, look at any threads I posted on. Just eat your crow with a little BBQ sauce and be quiet...

Good news for the Ferentz hater crowd: Bo Pelini will likely be on the market soon (a coach that shows some EMOTION!)

I may not have a lot of posts but you will see I have been in KF's corner from the start. He is a class act and runs a class program that graduates a high percentage of his players and develops quite a few NFL quality players. I would say KF does more with the level of talent he gets than most coaches. He may not have the flashiest system but he seems to consistently win games. If fans think we are going to be BCS contenders every year, they are delusional.
Should we expect 8+ win seasons? Yes. I could care less about the "I told you so" garbage. I'm happy for the Hawkeyes exceeding expectations and once again going bowling. I just think its comical that the KF critics cannot at least admit it and say "I was wrong".
Forums are great for debate and it's great most of us can have dialogue and agree or disagree. Some though did nothing but **** and moan about KF and badger anyone that supported him. That's garbage. Hence the reason for the retaliatory comments.
Bottom line: 8-4 is pretty damn nice and 9-4 would be asking the Top 25 to find a home for the Hawkeyes. (Btw their teams they lost to have a 37-3 W/L record)

Seriously, how you Ferentz haters feeling right about now? You guys made us feel like crap after the Northwestern win, and again after the Michigan win, now what are you guys going to say to make us feel like crap after beating Nebraska on the road?

Come on, give me something!

1) I don't "hate" Ferentz.
2) I'm pretty sure I've never attacked the apologists for being apologists, let alone bullied them into "feeling like crap", even though they continue to suffer extreme myopia and blatantly gloss over the numerous gaffes that have directly resulted in losses and near losses over the past 6 or so seasons.

Sorry to fall short of your request to "make you feel like crap" -- really no interest in that, anyway -- but here are a few things that, if they got corrected, might actually allow a 9 or 10 win team to win 9 or 10, rather than struggle to win 8:
-- Greg Davis;
-- Bullock before Canzeri, Christensen before Stanzi, etc;
-- Weisman, stretch left, short side of the field;
-- Kirt chastising his (team, staff, backup QB?) on national TV for scoring too much;
-- 1 for 8 defending fake punts; numerous onside kicks, etc
-- clock management.

Now, I will say, this was about as good a strategical game Kirt and staff have coached in several seasons -- excellent use of timeouts to calm down the team before the field goal and (ultimate) fake punt to run out the regular D to defend against the fakes. Actually sticking with an aggressive game plan when it was successful, rather than going fetal in hopes of not losing.

But, before you go celebrating the 3rd coming of Ferentz, you really need to hope that he's realizing he just needs to get the hell out of the way so guys like Phil Parker can restore Iowa's reputation for physicality along with allowing it to evolve in it's relentless attacking style.

So to sum it up.... Kirk can take all the blame for the offense but Phil Parker gets the credit for the overall success???

Nobody "HATES" Ferentz, Einstein. They often criticize his coaching, and most of the time it has been warranted.

How bout just enjoying the Win and the way this team finished. The last two games were as tough as we've seen the Hawks play in a couple of years. Great wins!

I'm not sure why some are crying on here. You know that if Iowa went 6-6 with losses to Mich, and Nebby to end the year, they would have been out in full forces saying we didn't beat anyone.

This scenario was bound to happen, no matter what Iowa's record was. Either the haters were gonna be saying Told you so, or the defenders were gonna be saying it.

I might suggest, my friend, that you go back and read my posts attacking those who make stupid statements about KF. Although, you may not have the time to read them all. And, to be clear, I have had a lot of company, people who will be critical of some of KF's decisions, but don't rely on personal attacks and assumptions based on no evidence as they continually bad mouth him.

A lot of us regulars don't feel a need to waste our time defending the staff.

We can't convince you internet messageboard tough guys anything different than your vitriol and hatred.. dislike of the coaching staff..

So why defend the team?? We have lives.. jobs.. etc..

But once everything comes into focus, it is pretty fun to make a single post (like this one) pointing out not only how dumb those people are.. but how sad their lives were for dogging it at every turn.. every details.. every 2/3* recruit commit that they didn't approve of..

The supporters win moreover with doing so much less. Single post. Right here. It feels good.

Wow! As they say in the political arena, "Look over there!" This is a thread railing on the KF haters while you continue the misdirection comments about the inappropriateness of the thread. Nice try.
