Went to practice the other day......

if some of you haven't notice fulsa doesn't come around here much anymore because idiots ran him away

And we're still getting about the same amount of info that we got when he was coming around. How many times were people begging for FF and USAFHawk to come around and provide info? They'd pop their head in, give the usual "this guy is in the dog house; this guy is living the lifestyle", then give some type of teaser and would go away again. People then begin to ask about the teaser information, the "insiders" can't/won't talk about it, so people get ******.

If wanting more information that people put out there, knowing full well that it's going to spark conversation, makes people move away from the board, so be it. I don't think FF is that much of an insider anyways. He knows wrestling and gives a good opinion, but I don't think anyone is giving him program secrets.

Ok look guys I am sorry for the "teaser" guess I should have left that part out. I didn't realize that it was that big of a issue. I will try to refrain from this type of stuff in the future and just stick what I see when I go into practice.

couldn't agree more. no 'idiots ran FF away' if any thing he gets treated like royalty around here w/ people begging for his input. Which i like to read just as much as the next guy and am thankful for, but if he got offended on this site then he needs to get out of the message board game. My bet is he's more into theopenmat, and good for him but no one ran him off here.
And i don't have an issue w/ guys not wanting to give up info they have but don't feel it's appropriate to. I talk to people who are very, very close to the program as well and hear things i find very interesting but don't feel like i should be posting them on a message board. So i don't. But the part that annoys me is to come on here and say, "i know this but can't tell" if that's the case, it's fine but just leave it out. I have no issue withholding info people may have. no hard feelings.

Come on man, not that big of a deal. I was originally just trying to give you a hard time. You give some great information and it really is appreciated.

Clark was pounding a wreslter to be named later don't feel I should say who just yet. .....

Thanks for the updates. I really like hearing how things are going in the room, and I don't mind a good teaser at all. So here's my long shot stab at the teaser: I noticed that there was no mention of Ramos in that post... You can't talk about it because we have a true freshman NC contender in the room beating a returning AA.

yes lets get back to discussing what is going on in the room!

cr i did not catch that initially but its a great possibility

btw, I was joking. There is no way that Clark was taking it to Ramos. If I was a betting man I'd say that Clark was taking it to another freshman that walked on that we didn't know about or a transfer that moved in that we didn't know about.

CR, is pretty close but that is for another day.

Ramos didn't work out with anybody but he was on the bike for awhile. Maybe I am senial but I really like this team's chances to stop the run that psu has going. Look at this lineup and look out.

125: McDonough: Likely finalist and Champ
133: Ramos: Likely finalist/possible champ but could slip to 3rd also
141: Ballweg: Likely rd of 12/possible mid range AA but if he slips up look for Skon to come in and then I like his chances of AAing
149: Kelly: NQ with a chance to win a few but not much more than that. In the weekest weight out there
157: DSJ: Likely finalist/possible Champ but could slip to 3rd also
165: Evans: Look for a Ramos type of improvement out of him but still not enough to beat Taylor/could make the finals but more likely he gets 3rd to 5th
174: GG: I love his chances here I really feel he is a finalist with a shot at winning it.
184: Lofthouse: rd. of 12 is likely in the 2nd deepest weight class of the year. I just don't see more than that out of Ethan right now. Don't be suprised if Brooks is out there to give it a go. I like his chances better to AA but think we still get the same result in the end even if Brooks is out there.
197: Lira: Love this kid he will give 110% and don't be suprised to see a rd of 12 out of him. But if he faulters a bit look for Burak to get out there and go for it. Either way I like our chances of a rd. of 12 type kid with possibilities of more.....
hwt: Telford: He got 5th last year and that will be a tall order to duplicate in what I feel is going to be the deepest weight out there. I still think he finds a way onto the stand and wouldn't be suprised if he made the finals. Russian and Oregon St. kid might be tough to get around though. Working with the "danimal" will make him better!!!

I guess all I am trying to say is Tom & Co. are tired of this 3rd place crap and are willing to try just about anything to dethrown psu....... By anything I mean within the rules of coarse.....

I'll go on record and say that if Kelly is going 149, he is going to be at least a RD of 12 guy. He'll have a year under his belt at the the weight, and will be better prepared. It looked to me, that last year the cut was wearing him down. I like his style, and he was doing some good things. If he trims down the mental mistakes (which I contribute to fatigue), he will surprise people.

Of course, this is all assumed that he is going 149 and has been gearing for that spot all along.

Agree with the majority of your predictions and would love to see the Hawks take Nationals in Des Moines but they are going to have to wrestle their best to do so.

My concern with Telford at Hwt is that he now also has to contend with Trice and Bradley coming off of Redshirt years which will make it very tough to place in the top 5.
Ramos will also have to wrestle his best to make the top 3 since 133 is loaded especially with Sentes coming off of Redshirt and possibly Graff also moving to 133.

Should be a great season and I can't wait for it to get started!!

I agree w/ your assessment but my fear is that even that won't be enough. With Megaludis, D Alton, DT, Ruth, QW are all possible finalist along w/ A Alton, Brown, and maybe even Guilbion as other guys scoring points at nationals they are going to be loaded. I think until two years from now when Taylor, ruth and Wright are gone (although QW is a senior now) they are going to be a handful to beat for iowa or anyone.

again open practice will be at 8AM for anyone wanting to attend to find out some answers for yourself

I am planning on going in Satuday and taking both of my kids. I will try to pay attention and fill you in with what I can but keep in mind I will have to keep an eye on both my kids also so I guess all I am saying is don't expect a lot of details. LOL
