Well it doesn't look like Rudock was the problem

Rudock has had a couple good games in a row.

But lets not overrate a performance against the dynamic defense of Indiana.

QB is not the reason for this season at Iowa or last season. It is and was the defense and running backs. If rudock had this defense and run game he would have done better. It is actually that simple. That isn't a knock on cj or on Jake it is just true. Jake has a great run game and so does cj. They both have great defenses and both are winning lots of games. Neither QB has had to win many games for their team this year. From my count each player has been the man that won it for their team once or twice this year.

Not sure you are going to get many people to agree with you on that conclusion.

The QB play for us this year has been a HUGE reason for the difference in record.

He looks pretty good today..all season...throwing the deep ball....running the ball....uh, I guess he didn't fit our style but he sure looks good this year. I love CJB..but me thinks there was a lot of all around improvement this year not just at qb. Is anyone else watching this Michigan game? Harbaugh might not be blowing smoke when he says NFL.

If anyone thinks iowa is 10-0 with rudock as qb, quit dreaming!!!!!!!!!!!! 6-4 if lucky. Beathard makes at least 5 plays every game that rudock never could and never will make. If he was actually healthy, it's no contest. Have you seen a top 25 team qb get hit more than beathard this year. Not even close. all that being said, i am still glad rudock is doing well this year

Rudock didn't even have a rb behind him. He had weak defenses when he was the qb and cj's numbers are not better than jake's. Jake wasn't the problem and cj wasn't the answer. But both are succeeding with where they are. People saying Jake isn't a leader haven't watched him at mich because they are fully behind him and obviously winning with him. Cj is perfect for Iowa and I do not believe they would be with Jake but I think they would still have 8 or 9 wins. Jake didn't have as good of team around him the last 2 years that is a fact. He has a comparable team at Michigan and should have beat msu. He is not as bad as Iowa fans have made him out to be. Cj hasn't done what Jake did today, maybe someday he will but Jake is pretty good.

Foval, I usually agree with you, and do agree the running backs have helped. But we have 2-3 loses this year if Jake is our QB.

They are different qb's, and Jake has played well. There is no question, however, that CJ is far better for Iowa.

Nope. IFs and butts and squirrel's nuts. He'd win more games. He wouldn't have done better.

Michigan had no rushing game today against Indiana. Indy--anna.
He threw for 814 yards because Indiana has no DBs.

Rudock can't make the plays CJ does. And it's not even close. That doesn't mean I hate him or think he's horrible. He's better-than-average. But that's all.

I am not saying he would play better than cj I am saying if he had those things he would have played better than he did with no rb and weak defense that he had for 2 years. Jake went out and won a game against that weak team Indiana and cj did too. Both had huge games against Indy. By downgrading jake's game against Indy you downgrade cj's also.

No, I'm not. There's no evidence that even with a good defense and RBs that JR plays better {and notice I didn't say better than CJ}.

He has those shiney toys this season and is still just an above-average QB. CJB is a good/great QB.

Well he wasn't the efing solution either nutball!

He looks a lot better than last season without question. He's not dumping the ball at the first sign of pressure, he's taking off on runs when it's there and he's throwing a pretty accurate mid-range ball.

He's finally healthy enough TO run the ball again. Last half of 2013 and most of 2014, that was not the case.

I still don't understand why people obsess one way or the other. Jake is doing well at Michigan. CJB improved enough in the areas needed to bring a bigger upside. Nothing more, nothing less.

Jake's success at Michigan all but validates the Hawk staff recruiting him aggressively, and it validates his decision to come north vs. staying in-state at Miami or Florida. Win for everyone.

Regarding MI: Rudock is surrounded with tons of talent. He is looking good with proper coaching and choosing when to tuck and run.
CJB better q.b. in ALL phases ..no question.

If you have observed MI and passing game, MI has their receivers stop and come back in straight line to the q.b.( good coaching) thus R. doesn't have to lead them. Catch, turn, and run. He is good at lofting the ball deep and has good receivers.

All in all, IA coaching and recruiting show IA knew good talent!! Two successful qb's!!

May match up in champ GAME!! YUMMY!! SWEET

Jake is doing a descent job at Michigan, but the way I look at it he quit on Iowa and his teammates when he seen that he was not going to be given the starting QB job without a fight. CJ has defiantly proved he's the better QB for Iowa and all around.

I'm guessing we would be like 7-3 right now with Rudock. He's mediocre. A lot of Michigan fans feel the same way and think they're good enough to be undefeated if it weren't for a mediocre QB.
