A seven seed is great. It has been a tremendous season for Fran and the Hawkeyes. I hope we bring our absolute best game against Davidson!
 
We can't shoot as bad against Davidson as we did against Penn State right? If we don't we win.
 
Just listening to John Calipari and I loved his response to a very good question. He was asked what his advice to his players would be going into the ncaa tournament? His reply was "I just asked them to be the best version of themselves" Man I think that is great advice and could really apply to our Hawks, play hard be yourself and play to the best of your ability! Really looking forward to next Friday! Back in the big show!!! GO HAWKS!

Congrats to the Hawks. It won't be easy to advance as Davidson is a good team but if Iowa plays like they did during the 6 game winning streak I think we can hang with anybody.

Dayton, like anyone that's in the tourney, well except UCLA, is going to take playing very well for
IOWA to win. However, I would love to see the Hawkeyes get a crack at
Gonzaga........that's a good match-up for Iowa, imho.

Well done Hawks! Throwing out that PSU loss, this was a fun February and fans would love a fun run in March too! I found it humorous when Gotlieb was asked about his sleeper teams he mentioned UNI and Iowa St then said "I guess I like the Hawkeye state this year." :)

This is one of those rare times when I'm glad we don't "expect" victory, regardless of the opponent. Not feeling confident, but not completely outclassed either, no matter who we play from here on. Would LOVE to at least break the drought against Davidson though.
Will be able to enjoy this tournament no matter when we exit. Taking vacation Thursday-Sunday just to be a basketball fanatic.
