Weisman Healthy for Northwestern More Important than Risk v PSU?

JVB visited a hypnotist and she got him out of his funk, although he himself is unaware of the change inside him. Many passes will be completed tonight. Even a passsing TD.

Canzeri will score as well.

I have spoken.

While I have been encouraged by the way our O-Line blocks for all RB's, I agree with Ghost.

If Weisman can play, he needs to play. As Kirk says, we're trying to win today.

As for NW and Indiana, I seriously doubt that we have a chance in either of those games, given the nature of their offense and how quickly they score, and how horrendous our offense has beem.

We need to win this weekend and if we can split the roadies, than we can start talking about caring who we beat.

C'mon man!

Play him today (assuming he's 90% and dressing anyhow)...he is our only offense, and no guarantees he'll feel any better next week.

To use a few cliches..."no looking ahead" and "play every game like it's your last." We have a home, night game against a tough conference opponent. In my opinion, Weisman may be the difference between a win and a loss this weekend.

With Weisman (i.e., a running game), pressure is taken off Vandenberg which may help open things up for the pass game.

Without Weisman (i.e., no running game), expect the passing troubles to continue (and more turnovers, and more 3 and outs, as the offense becomes more one-dimensional and in more difficult 3rd down situations).

If Weisman can go, we have to play him. We certainly need him. Worry about next week, next week.

This is exactly how I see it. And I thought this was very obvious. Weisman and the OL are unquestionably the best offensive weapons IA has, though the WR's and TE's are also talented. JVB generally plays better at home, but until he starts seeing the entire field (specifically including his wide open TE's and WR's, particularly in the middle), quits checking down every throw he can, and starts throwing better to CJF in the red zone, I don't see how you can't play Weisman, even if he's only ~75%. I'd also really, really like to see JVB use CJF's size in the red zone. Last week MSU was in zero coverage (no safeties over the top) when IA had 3rd and goal from about the 7. CJF runs a slant against a ~5'10" DB and JVB rushes a throw and launches a dart off a DL's head that goes flying by CJF. There's nobody over the top, yet JVB doesn't simply throw a lob ball to allow CJF to box out his undersized DB and go chase the ball. Until JVB plays better and as long as IA is in the hunt for the conference title and a BCS birth, I think you absolutely play Weisman, and I think that's been KF's philosophy over the yrs. Play to win today, not for later down the road.
