Okay, I don't wish anyone ill will. However, if there is one position where we might be able to absorb a loss of a player it might be RB. If this ended up being a possible season ending deal, it would help break the log jam in the sophomore class. If they are able to save the freshmen this year, next year Iowa would have 2 Jr's, 2 sophs, and 2 RS frosh. That is a good spread between classes.

Without divulging too much from the pay boards I won't say much except there is a lot of chatter regarding this subject. No big names have come out yet to confirm it however and at least one person said they spotted him walking around today and he didn't have a sling on or anything like that.

Not that concerned. If it was that bad of an injury there would be bigger buzz about it.

That happened to me once my senior year. My arm just went numb for like 15-20 minutes. Not a big deal at all. And I agree with the poster who said that if it were a serious injury there would be far more buzz about it.

Well like one of the commenters on that blog post said, ACL tears don't limit forward movement at all. It's making cuts off of that knee that gets eliminated. Running forward isn't going to put much stress on it.
But if Wegher really hasn't been wearing a sling or anything, then I'm sure he's fine.

Isn't the whole thing going around a shoulder injury? I didn't know that you needed to wear a bandage or sling every time you got injure or maybe he could have been wearing a wrap underneath? I'm not saying that wegher is injured i hope to go he is not, but we have seen that sometimes these internet rumors do hold some slight water, not all the time but sometime. Lets just all hope we're getting worked up over nothing and if not, then i'm sure brinson is kicking himself hard for this one. Oh and not to stir the pot even further on the practice pics from today it showed rogers running with the first team and i didnt see any pics of Wegher.

My point about the Hampton story was that people said he was fine because he was jogging up a flight of stairs, and that that doesn't really indicate whether a player's ACL is fine, because that injury doesn't affect straight ahead movement.
I'm only saying that if it's true that Wegher wasn't wearing a sling/wrap, then he's probably fine. And him not practicing may not be a real issue, either. Ferentz tends to pretty cautious with any injury, especially in the spring.
