Weather will be bad for Friday's game

I was looking at the weather forecast at KOLN TV in Lincoln. They are saying snow Thursday morning and rain/snow in the afternoon. Then Friday morning a mix of wintry weather and freezing rain. Then by late morning it could rain most of the day.

I'd say that favors us. They were gonna load the box regardless, but they won't be able to rely on their dink and dunk crap and quick screens with holding TEs all game if the ball is cold and wet.

It will be interesting to see if PJ's boys can sling it around in what will probably be less than ideal conditions for Minnesota/Wisconsin. We know the Badgers can ground and pound if necessary.

I wonder if ESPN GameDay is having second thoughts of you up there. It's hard enough to understand what Lee Corso is saying in warm weather conditions.

Just looked at the weather there. Oof. 65 and sunny here. Smoking some birds over at my buddy's house and we are setting up a TV outside to watch the Bears-Lions game so we don't have to be inside with the womenfolk.

I was out there in 2015. Holy hell was it cold, ice all over the sidewalks. At least it was dry

I have NEVER gone to Lincoln without ever having to deal with shitty azz weather. One time I literally drove on 100% covered glare ice about 3/4 of the way home from Lincoln to Waterloo. This in a 2000 2 wheel drive Chevy S-10. This was about 2001 or so. Other times rogue 8 inch snowfalls/blizzards. I think I've only had one trip there I didn't have to deal with crappy weather.

Yeah but Nebraska will run it on us. They had over 200 yards rushing on Wisconsin, and we couldn't stop Illinois from rushing for 200, and they have a far more mobile qb than Illinois.

This is what I'm worried about. One can't just assume that bad weather is ALWAYS gunna favor Iowa. It would if Iowa had a sound running game, but haven't had that going on two years now. The only saving grace is that they are showcasing Goodson now so maybe he can get into space in that bad weather. May be alright.

The wind is looking brutal for that day. Temps are actually pretty mild. But that wind with snow/rain mix will not be fun to deal with for anyone. At least the gameday crew will be covered from the rain and some wind.

I have tickets to this game too. Christ

#1 objective is to stay dry. One thing to be a little cold but cold and wet terrible.

#2 of course is be warm. If you live up around Iowa I know you better have warm clothes and just make sure you are waterproof.

Now 30+ mph winds can wreak havoc on anyone with that wind chill, I hate it.

Good thing Nate has a cannon. Believe the Maryland game last year would be comparable in terms of wind.
They must have upped the wind forecast from this morning. Kaj O'Meara from KCRG was saying 15-25 MPH. Those Maryland winds were comparable to today's.

As for the rain, I can't emphasize this enough. KEEP THE FEET AS DRY AS POSSIBLE. I can handle sitting through a steady rain with a poncho and proper raingear. But I don't handle wet shoes and socks. If those get soaked, it's over.
