Weather will be bad for Friday's game

They must have upped the wind forecast from this morning. Kaj O'Meara from KCRG was saying 15-25 MPH. Those Maryland winds were comparable to today's.

As for the rain, I can't emphasize this enough. KEEP THE FEET AS DRY AS POSSIBLE. I can handle sitting through a steady rain with a poncho and proper raingear. But I don't handle wet shoes and socks. If those get soaked, it's over.

I am not going, but I have some waterproof leather boots for fall to spring just in general. If there is not snow, there is salt, sand or mud usually.

I run FedEx routes on some Friday and Saturday mornings for extra cash. (I can get my regular job wrapped up by Thursday if I don't mind coming in early and staying late) We go to remote areas and farms and you can't believe how messy it can get in the winter and spring. The vehicles sometimes come back looking like they've been four wheeling. You can imagine what our boots look like.

Yeah, if you go to a late November game in Big Ten country without boots you are asking for trouble.

#1 objective is to stay dry. One thing to be a little cold but cold and wet terrible.

#2 of course is be warm. If you live up around Iowa I know you better have warm clothes and just make sure you are waterproof.

Now 30+ mph winds can wreak havoc on anyone with that wind chill, I hate it.
I have a pass to the husker VIP alumni club if I need to watch the game inside

Yeah but Nebraska will run it on us. They had over 200 yards rushing on Wisconsin, and we couldn't stop Illinois from rushing for 200, and they have a far more mobile qb than Illinois.
Kirk could employ the QB sneak early and often!

In other words, "Go Huskers!" We get it. You aren't a Hawkeye fan.

Frost offense is not designed for cold wet weather. Martinez has security issues in dry weather. Advantage defense. We can go under center and pass or run, they never go under center. Hawks need ball control, clean game, control big plays.

Might be best to stay off the rails

Yup. They have had problems with snapping the ball (excellent opportunity for our dt's to be disruptive). They have had problems turning it over. Both those problems could really be tough in cold wet weather.
I don't see this game as being all that close.
I also think we might have been looking ahead just a little last week. Credit to Illinois, but I just think we wanted to do just enough to get the win. I have said several times that Wisconsin just wasn't playing like normal when they played Nebraska, they weren't hitting or tackling like normal. Possibly because the week before they had a 2 point slug fest with us.
I'm not saying these things are true, but they are possible.
You didn't see any pads popping during that Wisconsin Nebraska game and that is very un Wisconsin like.
