We Got Problems.

1) O-line is inconsistent & gets pushed around by 300+ D linemen.

2) A Robinson has problems picking up a blitz & blocking

3) Special teams - In particular covering kicks/punts

4) Ricky Stanzi freezing like a deer in headlights.

5) LB's covering pass plays - This could be a real detriment the rest of the season. There were some real problems with gaps in the zone D coverage.

I have a headache.

You forgot 6) You should learn to process a game before you post.

I will let you watch the game and see why we lost. There are a couple things that got us there which caused a domino effect, you can not blame everyone. How many teams come back being down 20?

Oh really. How did Iowa lose this game? Break it down for me. Where did Iowa look strong & where were their weak parts?

He's not saying he knows what happened. But it's smart to take a step back before spewing off. That first gut reaction is rarely the one worth posting. I honestly felt the same way you do, until about 30 minutes after the final whistle. After I settled down, it's easier to see what went wrong. The special teams miscues were the root of almost everything that went wrong tonight. There were some exceptions, but for the most part it was the hole that we dug ourselves.

Iowa wins that game 9 out of ten times, the tenth time there is a string of lucky plays that puts them in too big of a hole. This was that one game.

I actually agree with alot...Robinson looked way overmatched tonight...and idk what Ricky's deal is but he needs to get it together...and the special teams sucked...and the oline played subpar (and that's being nice)

That still doesn't explain Iowa's gap in its zone defense or Iowa's offense's inability to protect Ricky.

I know man! We suck. I am pretty sure we are staring a 2-10 season right in the damn face! Ugh! It sucks to be a Hawkeye!

I know. I need to work on being more of a negative and pessimistic miserable person like you! No worries, I'm
Sure I'll get there eventually. I'll keep
Working on it!!!

Oh God, I hope not State! That'd be like a domino effect. First you turn over. Then Homer. And then Shane. And that will be the day I stop coming here, cause it won't be any fun anymore ;)

I am honored to be mentioned the same sentence as Homer and Shane! :)

But I think I'm finally ready to sleep. Catch up with you guys tomorrow! GO HAWKS!!!

Who are you? Nice work giving me "negative reputation" comments and saying, "How does it feel to have the only thing going for you lost?" (Meaning the Hawks, I assume).

You are not an Iowa fan. Get lost, tool. Go ahead, give me more negative rep.

Way to bring absolutely nothing to the conversation. The OP had several very valid points.

The big question mark at the beginning of the year was the O-line. It was confirmed last night, that this speculation was correct. Don't make excuses for the O-line. They played terrible, and couldn't match the speed of the AZ defense. Like it or lump it homers of the Hawkeye nation....We're gonna have some issues this year. Blueprint for beating Iowa? Easy, BLITZ!!!

It wasn't me. Way to jump to conclusions. Sorry, but I don't give reputations or whatever it is. I just don't do them. You can't go around saying people aren't Hawk fans when you don't even know them. I think one can probably tell my passion thru my posts & comments to other threads.

I think most on here that know of me will attest to that. I am usually optimistic as well as fair & I think most will tell you that.

Again, sorry the bad reputation got you worked up but it was not me. You seemed to have charmed someone else, I guess.

Yes, at least for this game. But, I can say my post last night may have been a knee-jerk post, sorry to say. I am concerned about our LB's covering since Iowa does not run a lot of nickle & dime packages. I presume the coaches will figure something out.
