"We cant even get that right"

9 wins this year, really, Iowa's 6 wins this year have come against two teams that are 1 and 8, one team that's 1 and 9, a 4 and 5 team, a lower tier team that is 5 and 4, and a 8 and 2 Minny team who we are lucky we played early before Kill had to take a leave and the Gophers had something to play for.

Iowa has beaten nobody of merit this year besides Minny and that's stretching it, reality, when we play anybody worth anything in current college football we are exposed.

Please check your meds and join the rest of use in reality.

Okay, but then can you at least grant the flip-side of that argument. The 4 teams Iowa has lost to this year have a combined record of 33-3. These are good teams. We aren't losing to "dog crap" teams.

In essence this team is beating the teams it should and losing to the teams that are likely better teams. 8 wins is possible this season. We have legit chances against Mich & Nebraska. These are both teams that are struggling this year.

The coin can be flipped, time will tell, would I rather have the Hawks end the regular season at 8 and 4, heck yeah, but my gut and the past tells me Hawk fans will be feeling like they just smashed some two week old Turkey after the bugeaters game.

I probably have higher than average hopes Iowa at least splits the last two games and ends up 7-5. Considering my preseason expectations were for this team to go 6-6 (and that was on the high side as many had us at 5-7), I'm looking at these last two games as icing on the cake for this season. I won't jump for joy at 6-6, but I'm not going to kick my dog over it either.
