Way to go JO

Hawkfan33, do you have some data on how close Josh's threes were to going in? Maybe, since he was really, really close a few times last game, we can extrapolate that raw data and synthesize it into an accurate forecast.

That would be awesome

27% shooter but if you add the shots that almost went in that number goes up to 67%, hell why stop there add the shots that were airballs, and not close to going in and he's shooting 100%.

See the kid never misses!!!!

Look I don't hate Josh O and if he is on the floor he should be shooting the ball, well because that really all he does is shoot the 3. That said there is no excuse for Fran to draw up a last shot to win the game for a guy that is been in a year long shooting slump, why in the hell he didn't draw up another play having someone going to the basket is beyond me, almost everyone on the team shot better than 27% last night with the exception of Marble.

My point I don't fault Josh for doing what he was asked to do I blame Fran. And I don't care how close it was to going in, it didn't go in.

That would be like a FG kicker missing a game winning kick off the upright and saying well it almost went it. Idiotic.

He had White wide open for a lay up. Gesell missed him, not sure how that is on Fran.

If he stops shooting, it DOES help. Every shot he takes with his 27% shooting percentage is a shot he's taking away from somebody who shoots better.

Ask Spank to quantify this for you.

Then you need to ***** at Fran for playing him. You cannot have a SG that plays that doesn't take open shots when hes in the game. You can't play bball that way.

Damn it Duff, Ghost isn't here to talk basketball strategy, he's here to troll.

And update Woody's block chart, *******.

All I ever hear is how good this team could be, but we need to bench JO, or Marble, or White isn't getting it done like he should, or Gesell is missing open passes. Well who do you all want to play? I mean I guess Darius stokes and that one white kid that are walk ons could play. I guess Fran has no clue what he is doing.

It's sad really. If JO made that 3 at the end of regulation everybody would be all "JO is back, what a stud, he's going to light it up now". Well he still can. People need to support players on this team. It's a joke. We are all disappointed losing games that should have been won, but bashing the players or blaming them is stupid. Just plain stupid.

I'm on board with the majority that don't think it's fair to call out a player. IMO the entire team is responsible for finding every possible way to not finish out a game, the blame can easily be spread around to everyone involved.

I have no problem with JO's play last night. He needs to shoot when he is open and shoot with confidence. That is what he did last night. Most of attempts were good looks including the one that would have won the game. As long as he keeps shooting when he has good looks he needs to keep letting them fly. Because if he doesn't, who is going to shoot the ball? Somebody has to and when they do, you want it to be a good look, not a forced shot at the end of the shot clock.

It looks to me that Fran has made it a point recently to tell JO to keep shooting. Part of that may be he either wants him to shoot his way out of it or Jok comes in next year and JO may not see the floor much. So Fran wants to find out what he truly has in JO. Maybe JO is like that golfer who stripes it at the range but then falls apart on the course.

Since they talk about how he makes "every" shot in practice, I hope they aren't talking about him standing there getting feeds from a shooting gun. He needs to be taking "every" shot like he does in games, almost always coming off a screen where he has to get set quickly and release.
