Way to go JO

There is something seriously wrong with this fan base if we are congratulating players for shooting 27% every game and taking double digit shots.

I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.

When the coach keeps telling him to shoot what else should he do? Horrible play call and shot to end regulation. And people think KF makes bone head in game decisions.....

Then its on Fran. The kid has struggled with his shot all year. At some point you stop the madness of "keep shooting".

what's funny is how people are raging about josh... yet marble is 1-30 or whatever his last few games and not even a whisper.

.

Put the bench + Basabe in the starting lineup this weekend. They're scoring just about as much as the starters, and they're doing it more efficiently.

Clemmons
May
McCabe
Basabe
Olaseni

30 points tonight on 50% shooting. Remaining starters plus JO: 40 points on 13-for-51 shooting. FFS.

Meh, from what I saw it looked like Mike's pass to JO is what caused White to be open.

JO's cut caused it, White was already slipping between the two when Gesell made the pass. Need your pg to be able to see it, but JO's shot was a good look too and was halfway down, tough break that it rimmed out.

29 for 107 from three this year. That is a lot of missed shots. This kid is cant shoot a bull in the ***.

why intentionally miss the free throw? STUPID!

I do believe it was Aaron's instant decision, thinking he would get the rebound, make a basket and get fouled again. The odds of us winning the game if he had made the free throw are astronomical......

There were only a very few seconds left......

He gambled and it didn't work, making the free throw was no guarantee of a win. However, Fran might have a word or two to inform him of his personal view of Aaron's decision if it was deliberate.....

Mere speculation about him deliberately missing the free throw.....

:)

I don't think anyone is celebrating his performance. The thing about JO is this team needs him to shoot and shoot well. If he stops shooting it doesn't help either. The reality is hes the best we have in that spot right now.

JO needs to stop shooting period and find a spot on the bench next to Marble as neither one of them are worth a crap.

If he stops shooting, it DOES help. Every shot he takes with his 27% shooting percentage is a shot he's taking away from somebody who shoots better.

Ask Spank to quantify this for you.

Yea...Spank, do you have a graph you can pull up to help explain this to people? Maybe something that shows how our percentage chance to win goes down with every shot JO takes.

Hawkfan33, do you have some data on how close Josh's threes were to going in? Maybe, since he was really, really close a few times last game, we can extrapolate that raw data and synthesize it into an accurate forecast.

Just my opinion. JO is broke, but at the same time I'm not going to fault him for at least making the effort to step up and make the shot. Not saying he should have been the one with the ball in his hand late in the game, but Marble was nonexistent and I didn't really see White stepping up any. I don't necessarily want JO taking that many shots, but someone has to step up because Marble and White simply aren't getting it done.
