The only person to lie in this thread is you. First you say Iowa will finish 7th in the B1G, then you say they will be lucky to finish 9th or 10th and then you say if Fran just plays uptempo that they can finish 5th-7th and make the NCAA.

I listened to 2 high school coaches say that they didn't think Connor McCaffrey would be a suitable BIG PG. That's scary. I'm not saying I agree with them. Or disagree with them even. I watched some of last season's high school play offs and he didn't Impress me.

Since you are obviously a BB genius, and as you say I am one of the most uneducated BB posters on here, it is a pretty unfair situation. Even though I have such a decided disadvantage I am still wiling to look foolish and bet you as uneducated in BB as I am. I live in Iowa. My team played in Wichita. Dude. I've been to tournaments from Akron to Lincoln and several places in between, this summer. I'll be in St Louis this coming weekend. I'll post pictures of the venues. I don't expect that to shut you up but I'll do it anyway. So the rest of the posters that laugh at you get another opportunity. I'll have some posted by Saturday .

LOL, changing what you said I see. You said Iowa would have to GET LUCKY to be better than 9th place. That means that you don't find any reasonable way (outside of luck) that Iowa will finish above that. Why would I give you such a sweet deal, when you said in your own words it would "take luck" to finish above 9th place. I don't think it will take luck at all, I think it is a CERTAINTY that Iowa will finish above 9th place.
So either back up your trash talk, or admit you were full of crap when you said Iowa would have to get lucky to finish above 9th place. All I've seen since that post is a bunch of back tracking, cause even you know that Iowa isn't finishing in 9th place or lower in the B1G. The only way they finish lower than 9th place is if Fran has something happen to him, and they hire you to coach them into the crapper. Since like you, I think that would take a great stroke of bad luck to happen, I will still gladly wager on what you said. Iowa will NOT FINISH ABOVE 9th PLACE IN THE B1G.

We would need to finish ahead of Rutgers, MN, Ill, NU, PSU and NW. These teams finished 9th through 14th, last season. We will be so young that it will be a challenge for us to finish in front of all six of these teams. However, I wouldn't be completely disappointed finishing below 8th place IF we show progress, as a team, through the season. We will be so young, I don't think anyone can really predict how we'll play or where we'll finish. NIT would be a highly successful season, in my opinion. I don't really care what place we finish.
