Watching the games without cable.

Finally got rid of cable due to cost but want to watch the games. Short of camping out in the local bar, what suggestions do you all have on watching the games?

I have a couple friends who have the V See box. It's like $300 and one can get absolutely everything. LIve TV, sports, every movie ever made including movies that are within weeks of being in the theatres. I viewed it the other day and the guide and viewing is very similar to any streaming guide like YouTube TV.

The nice thing once you buy the box, it just the price of the hardware. No monthly fees. It updates automatically. The other guy I know has had it for 10 yrs with no issues. Now, I don't know if this is pirating or what but they have never had anybody knocking on their doors. Also, its so rampant now not sure how they could go after everyone.

The only downside is that it has to be for one TV at a time so would either have to move it to another TV or buy multiple boxes. It's easy to move around as is only like 6 X 6". Also, they are so reasonable, buying mult is no big deal either.

I cut the cable cord two years ago and got YouTubeTV with the sports package. I wants says its like 60 bucks a month. But, it includes the NFL package so you basically get every NFL game. It also has all of the major sports channels and a lot of minor ones too. I saw every Iowa game last year and I think all but one was on YouTubeTV.

Unless they've reached an agreement, there was a story yesterday about Fox and YouTubeTV. The contract is up for renewal and they may or may not have an agreement in time for football season. It affects all of the Fox channels, news, sports, etc. Based on the schedule it could affect the first four Hawkeye games.

For the customer's sake, hopefully it gets resolved fast. I've been in that situation before and it sucks.

Didn't know about the V See Box, looks like the way to go

$339 dollars to get the Box and then you are in business

ALL local channels, but no ESPN

You can subscribe to ESPN for $30 a month, could cancel after Football and Basketball season are
over, about 7 months till The Dance is over
