What makes Saban a great coach, is being a great coach, having elite coordinators, future NFL talent at 80% of positions. All of those things make him a great coach. When "the willingness to make a change" is to yet another elite athlete, it makes it easier.

KF has plenty of shortcomings, but the premise he is content losing is tiresome.

Not to mention the two situations are not even remotely alike. KF was wrong for giving all the snaps to Vandenberg that year, but that was a lost season, not the national championship.

We can all agree, it’s a thrill to watch these games. It’s a thrill and blast to watch two great teams go at it. Big, Physical, Fast, Exciting teams.

However, am I the only one who has a hard time enjoying these games sometimes because of how far.. really about 4 galaxies away Iowa is from ever playing in a game like this? The speed of the teams, the strength and power, the excellent game planning and schemes.. I mean, we’re not even remotely close to matching up to any of these teams in any of those aspects.

It’s frustrating that we’ve become content to “accept the fact” that Iowa will never be able to contend for a Championship.

Or am I just a Debbie downing cry baby?

So, if KF was coaching Alabama do you actually think he would have switched QB. Name number of times this year that KF changed qb when behind. In all fairness, how many coaches would pull a 25-2 qb for freshman?
